Busy busy busy

Been super busy this weekend doing cards for orders, October is a busy month for birthdays etc. The one I have here is for my friend Emma and I need the honest opinion of all you crafters out there. It is her birthday on Tuesday along with my 2nd wedding anniversary, I only hope she likes what I have done for her.

I am off now to play with my loverly new stamps which arrived from Pink Gem Designs yesterday morning. Will hopefully be back later with more piccies.

Crafts for Eternity

Decided that I would have a go at another blog challenge after all I have nothing to lose. I know my cards are not as good as I would like them to be but my mum always told me that "practise makes perfect". So this is the card I am going to use for the Crafts for Eternity challenge. This is a recipe challenge and you have to use the following -

The ingredients for this weeks recipe are:
1. Use the sketch below
2. Use a punch
3. add a knot or bow

I think I have managed to acheive this, the sketch I have followed, I added a double bow to the top left hand corner and I punched a scalloped circle and placed the Merry Christmas sentiment onto it. What do you think?

I am returning

after a very long absence. Not been crafting for almost a year now and have decided it is time to get back into it. Moved house again since I last posted and have even managed to get myself a very small craft room ;)

Have still been hovering around and checking out peoples blogs from time to time and have seen some gorgeous work out there.

I have made a couple of ATC's recently which I was quite pleased with, I have discovered colouring in again which is something I haven't done for many years and I now have a passion for promarker pens. Hope you like these pics.

I would like to wish all who read my blog a Happy New Year, I know it is a bit late but this is the first 5 minutes I have had to myself since moving two and a half weeks ago. The move went fine but I am still surrounded by boxes trying to figure out exactly where I am going to put everything lol. Haven't got my craft stuff unpacked yet either (boo hoo) and I don't know where on earth I am going to put it when I do get it unpacked. I am now having serious craft withdrawal symptoms as I haven't crafted since November. There is so much catching up for me to do, you have all been extrememly busy over the festive period, many thanks to those of you who have either commented or emailed me over the past couple of weeks, I do apologise for next getting back in touch but I am sure you can appreciate how manic things are for me at the moment.

Well thats enough waffle from me just now, off to try and catch up on my blog hopping. Speak to you all soon.

How Long?

has it been since I last posted, I am thoroughly disgusted with myself!!! Although I have not been exactly lazy though, as I sit here typing this I am surrounded by boxes, boxes and more boxes. This moving house business is a nightmare I'll tell you! All my crafty things have had to be packed away (boo hoo) haven't managed to finish my christmas cards and no I will not be buying any either. It totally goes against my craft religion to even think of buying cards lol.

No cards from me again

Well there are no cards from me this week again :0( I have been busy making my christmas presents for this year. I have decided after recently learning to knit that all the females gifts this year are going to include a scarf hand knitted by me. So I have been ultra busy on a night sitting with the television on in the background and knitting away to my hearts content. I have managed to make 3 so far and have another on the go at the moment.

Unfortunately I don't think that there will be many cards from me from now till the new year. As some of you may already know my husband was told that he is being made redundant at the beginning of next year. Whilst we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago he attended a couple of interviews and we are happy to announce that he has been succesful in one of those jobs. Therefore we are going to be moving. This is going to be big move for a number of reasons, we are not just moving a couple of miles down the road we are moving a couple of hundred miles down the road lol. I currently live below Scotlands highest mountain(Ben Nevis) in Fort William and we are going to be moving to North Yorkshire to a small town called Ripon. This is my husbands home town and he still has friends and family living there so at least will not be all alone.

The kids are bit excited and scared at the same time as am I as it is a really big change for us all. I will keep in touch as much as I can over the coming months, however if I disappear for a long time then at least you all know why. We reckon that we will be moving around the 13th or 14th December (just before Christmas groan) so it will be a fairly quiet one for us.

I will keep in touch as much as I can but for now I am off to get ready for my MRI scan at Inverness Hospital and then home to start packing.

Offline for a while

Well, it's cheerio from me for a wee while as I am off on my holidays. Well it's a sort of holiday, we are going down to stay with my inlaws for just over a week. Whilst we are there though we have to go about finding new jobs, somewhere to live and new schools for the kids. My husband was told last Monday that he is being made redundant from his current job on 31st January, seeing as how the house we are staying in comes with the job we have decided that a move to pastures new is the best thing for us all. So wish me luck.

I am hoping to come back with some blog candy though, it will be my first ever so watch this space lol.

Benn creating

Was rudely awoken this morning by our dog so I used my morning all by myself time to make a couple of cards. Also ordered a couple of stamps by Pink Gem (Janet) from the Spiral Whisper website and I can't wait till they arrive. Bet they come when I am away on my holidays next week lol.

This one is for my father in law, I always make him a card centered around steam trains, camera's or cars. The pictures aren't great, I'm not much of a photographer and the card looks a lot brighter and clearer in the flesh.

This one I made just for fun. I love this tilda image and sat for ages trying to come up with a design. Not quite happy with it but it will do, brain was a bit tired this morning.

Off on a blog hop, then I am going to hopefully sit down and make some more cards this afternoon.

Been a busy bee today

Had a few cards to make and finish off this afternoon, so I switched the laptop off and got on with it instead of blog hopping lol.

The first is for my hubby as it is our Wedding Anniversary tomorrow. I used photo's from our wedding album, one of the corsages keft over from last year and the card used was the same card that I made our Wedding Invites from.

The second one is for my oldest son who turns 16(boy does that make me feel old) whilst we are away on holiday next week.

This one is for my nephew, he mad on Liverpool Football Club. I made his brothers card last month and dedicated it to his favourite football team (Manchester United) so I had to make Thomas's dedicated to his favourite football team or there would have been a riot.

I just hope now that the recipients will like their respective cards.

I will be celebrating my 1st Wedding Anniversary this coming Monday (13th Oct)
I love Winnie the Pooh and collect anything with Winnie the Pooh on it, about the only thing I don't have with Winnie the Pooh on it is a Bra as I can't find one in my size lol
I am always buying crafty bits and thinking, I can't use this it's too nice to use.
I work part time for a local Prawn factory and I can't stand fish lol
I have been crafting one way or another for 16yrs now
I hate cooking and generally leave all the cooking to my husband
I am a soap addict (as in television soaps)

....found my mojo? That's very good question, the quick answer is no, i don't think i have. Although it's not for the lack of trying and lots of help from all my friends. I have managed to make a card for the Lili of the Valley challenge though, not entirely happy with it though I know that I could do better. ........my mojo :0(, don't know where it has gone, will give reward if anyone can find it for me. Think I may have tidied it away when I was tidying up my craft area over the past couple of days lol. I wouldn't mind but I have 5 cards that I desparately need to make this weekend and there is no way I would be able to get away with buying shop ones. 1 is for my hubby for our 1st Wedding anniversary, 1 is for Sean (my youngest son) his birthday is on the 16th and he will be 11 another is for Jamie ( my oldest son) who will be 16 on the 23rd and 2 are for friends who would never forgive me if they didn't get a hand made card.

I have sat all afternoon looking through other bloggers sites and galleries also scanning the Docrafts gallery all for inspiration and guess what...... I am more confused than ever lol. Maybe if I stop fretting it will come back?

A day of crafting

Spent all day yesterday crafting, it is the first time I have been able to do that for ages and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The down side to it is that I now have all the houseworkk to do today instead. But I decided to get up early (as you can tell) and get it out of the road this morning so that with a bit of luck I can do more crafting this afternoon. I need to make loads of birthday cards this month and a special 1st anniversary card for my hubby too. Both my kids have their birthday's in October, my father in law and 2 of my friends too.

Have recently discovered Tilda stamps, Sarah Kay, Sugar Nellie and Dinky Dots too. I feel as though I have gone back to my childhood lol. Have uploaded a couple to let you see what I have been up to all day yesterday.
